We are a non-profit 501c3 therefore, we rely heavily on the support of families, friends, businesses, and partnering organizations to fulfill our mission. We seek to build an army of volunteers to ensure that every student at King-Chavez is successful and supported.
We seek volunteers for regularly scheduled events:
- Become a Coach
- Teach an after school club
- Become a Keynote Speaker at our annual MLK Celebration or our Cesar Chavez March
- Join us for your National Day of Service
- Sponsor a Table at one of our ceremonies
Below, there are more specialized details on how others have donated their time to us.
Adopt a School
Many organizations have assisted us throughout the years in a variety of ways. We have had churches and Girl Scout troops organize book, food and shoe drives; volunteer organizations build community gardens; and corporations beautify our campuses with murals or a fresh coat of paint. Our students, teachers and families appreciate when other organizations take the time to recognize the efforts of our school community by giving back. Because of the caring of others, our students participate in unforgettable experiences and learn to become wards of their community.
- Make an appointment with any King-Chavez School
- Visit the school site
- Plan a project together with a team of staff members and parents
Big Brothers and Sisters
