King-Chavez Community High School Athletics
At King-Chavez our athletic program offers students experiences and lessons to help them grow and flourish, not only in a high school setting but for the rest of their lives as successful adults. The foundations taught through athletics: Responsibility, Commitment, Teamwork, Character, Preparation, Respect, Sportsmanship, and Honor follow students into the classroom, past graduation and throughout their lives.
Any student that joins an athletic team at KCCHS is making a commitment to the school, their team, and themselves and they must honor that commitment. This commitment comes with greater responsibilities than non student athletes have. Student athletes are often and rightfully praised for their athletic accomplishments, but they are equally as visible for their actions in the classroom and around the community. Being able to standout as a student and an athlete is one of the great accomplishments for any high school student in San Diego.
KCCHS offers both Boy’s and Girl’s sports in all 3 of the CIF(California Interscholastic Federation) seasons as do all San Diego High Schools that are serious about athletics. We compete in the Frontier League against similar Public, Private, and Charter Schools as well as playing matches outside of our league against all San Diego area High Schools, as we compete for San Diego Championships.
