You Can Help Us to Achieve Our Goals
King-Chavez Neighborhood of Schools has made great strides and has accomplished many gains. We are a tax exempt 501c3 non-profit public benefit corporation that relies on state and federal funding and supporters like you. School district funds, as utilized by all charter schools, covers the most basic expenses such as teacher and administrative salaries, books and instructional supplies. However, we are successful because we offer our students extended programs such as after school care, clubs, opportunities in the arts and athletics and learning centered field trips and assemblies to encourage and nurture the whole student. These programs are what have made KCNS succeed.
You can help to offset the cost of our transportation - the buses that are necessary to take our students to experiential learning field trips throughout San Diego. You can help fund the technology to prepare our students for 21st century achievement. You can help to fund specialized programs such as Guided Reading, Blended Math and Science or Internship programs that prepare disadvantaged students for success in higher education and beyond.
We have done well to foster successes throughout our schools and encourage you to join our community. Contributions to the following funds allow us to continue producing engaged, well-rounded students who will have established a foundation of academics, arts and athletics in order to succeed in life.
