Must Be Excellence
Please help the King-Chavez Academy of Excellence welcome our newest staff member, Ms. Britney Cullen. Ms. Cullen will be taking over the Physical Education duties for our Kinder through 8th grade students. Originally from Massachusetts, Britney moved to San Diego in August of 2015. She has 5 people in her family including her mother and father, two younger brothers, and herself.
During KCAE's Fall Intersession from October 11th-14th, several KCAE students were chosen to participate in a STEAM Camp. For those who may not know, STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The focus of the week's activities was to get students excited about applying these concepts to a project that could be shared with the rest of the KCAE community.

Parent Participation Sheet
At KCAE, we value your participation in your student's education and are committed to creating opportunities to allow you to play an active role in it. We also recognize that as much as you would like to be involved in everything that is happening at KCAE, this can be challenging with a hectic schedule. Therefore, we have established our Parent Partnership Initiative, which encourages parents/guardians to strive for earning 10 PARTICIPATION POINTS for the school year. As part of this initiative, we have designated FIVE events as HIGH PRIORITY, in the hope that you can be present for them (the details of which can be found in the Parent/Student Handbook). In addition, we also have suggested a menu of activities/events that you can choose from that will be counted toward the rest of your point goal for the school year. For more information about the role that you can play here at KCAE, feel free to reach out to your student's teacher!
