Must Be Excellence
The last round of after school clubs led by KCAE staff members is scheduled to begin during this week.
The school will be sending a flyer detailing the expectations for how 8th grade students should come prepared for this activity.
On April 27th, the Kinder through 8th grade students at the King-Chavez Academy of Excellence held a public showcase of their learning. The showcase focused on what the students are currently studying in their present classes.
On April 28th, the 7th and 8th grade students here at Excellence were out in the beautiful San Diego sunshine exercising and competing to take a stance against bullys. The coaches and volunteers of "Bridging the Gap" in cooperation with the SDPD, set up obstacle courses, tug-of-war, break dancing, and even a crab crawling station.
Parent Participation Sheet
At KCAE, we value your participation in your student's education and are committed to creating opportunities to allow you to play an active role in it. We also recognize that as much as you would like to be involved in everything that is happening at KCAE, this can be challenging with a hectic schedule. Therefore, we have established our Parent Partnership Initiative, which encourages parents/guardians to strive for earning 10 PARTICIPATION POINTS for the school year. As part of this initiative, we have designated FIVE events as HIGH PRIORITY, in the hope that you can be present for them (the details of which can be found in the Parent/Student Handbook). In addition, we also have suggested a menu of activities/events that you can choose from that will be counted toward the rest of your point goal for the school year. For more information about the role that you can play here at KCAE, feel free to reach out to your student's teacher!
