Must Be Excellence
Our 6th-8th students received a private tour around Point Loma Nazarene University. The visit included a campus information session, a campus tour, time to wander around the campus, and free food at the campus buffet restaurant. Our students had fun and enjoyed the college trip:)
December 2015 Project Showcase
On December 17, 2015, KCAE held its first Project Showcase event of the 2015-2016 school year. The purpose of this event was to allow students to demonstrate to the KCAE community what they had been learning over the past couple of months.
The purpose of this survey is to obtain parent and student perceptions of school climate as they relate to student well-being, opportunities, and learning. The survey is a companion to the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), a comprehensive student health risk and resilience assessment tool (grades 5, 7, 9 & 11) and the California School Climate Survey (CSCS) for staff. All parents and students should be given the opportunity to participate, regardless of which grades are being surveyed among students.
The online surveys are active from September 01, 2015 to August 06, 2016
Schools may access and take surveys anytime during that period. "Click Here" to take the survey and enter the School Code: WQ93HQ
The online survey will be active from February 8th-March 8th, 2016. Students may access and take surveys anytime during the period. "Click Here" to take the survey and enter the School Code: HD27DT
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the office.
Hello King Chavez Students,
If you are interested in participating in our next STEAM Week, please notify your homeroom teacher as soon as possible. Our next STEAM week will be February 23rd-26th from 8am-12pm. Students will discover the scientist or engineer within them through hands-on activities in rocketry, robotics, biofuels, renewable energy, wild life, computer science and more while building their skills to form the foundation of a future career.
Here's one of our projects from our first STEAM Week:
iMovie is an incredibly powerful, yet incredibly easy to use App. For nearly thirty years, the Mac has given students the power to create in the classroom, and it continues to help unleash the potential in every learner. During our STEAM week, our student used iMovie, a simple yet powerful editing tools to create a documentary of our KC STEAM week. Please check out what our students created:)
