The focus in PE is personal, lifelong fitness skills. Each student spends time outside in the park playing organized sports and learning/ practicing specific sport related skills, as well as time in the classroom learning about health management. Activity days are designed so that all students warm-up with calisthenics and at least a ½-mile jog. Students create their own personal fitness goals (Weight loss, Increased Strength, Muscle toning, Decreased Time Running the Mile, etc.). Each student meets with their coach for an individual assessment of their personal goals and plans together a nutritional and exercise plan to continue to meet their goals.

KCCHS offers the following organized sports: cross-country, soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball, wrestling, and track & field. The school’s varsity soccer team has won the Frontier League championships twice and in track & field a student won the District 110 meter hurdles.
